NOCTON PARISH COUNCIL
Minutes of the Meeting of the Extra-Ordinary meeting of Nocton Parish Council held at 4.00 p.m. on Monday, 30th May, 2022 in The Nocton Hub.
PRESENT:

Vice-chair: Councillor Mike Kaye
Councillors: Councillors Mike Clarke and MaryAnn Williams
1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
An apology for absence was received from Councillor George McDonnell and his reason was accepted. An apology for absence was also received from Karen Steels-Tallett (Parish Clerk).
2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
There were no declarations of interest.
3. EXCLUSION OF THE PRESS AND PUBLIC
MOVED by Councillor MaryAnn Williams; SECONDED by Councillor Mike Clarke and RESOLVED that the press and members of the public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following item because of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.
4. APPOINTMENT OF PART-TIME TEMPORARY CLEANER
MOVED by Councillor MaryAnn Williams; SECONDED by Councillor Mike Clarke and RESOLVED that having received two satisfactory references and confirmation of his right to work in the UK, Cameron Lintin be appointed as a temporary Cleaner for Nocton Hub with effect from 31 May 2022 for an initial period of three months, subject to a detailed Risk Assessment being carried out by the Hub Manager and on the terms and conditions set out in the separate private and confidential minute.
It was agreed that the Parish Clerk issue Mr Lintin with a Contract of Employment.
5. AMENDMENT OF PARISH CLERK’S CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT
MOVED by Councillor MaryAnn Williams; SECONDED by Councillor Mike Kaye that the Office Allowance payable to the recently appointed Parish Clerk be increased to £26 per month to include any additional insurance premium which may be due as a result of home working.
