December 08 2020 - Chair's Report
1. CHAIRMAN’S REPORT TO 10 November 2020 – 8 December
i. The Clerk’s authorised absence ends on 8 December.
ii. Administrative difficulties in banking in the Clerk’s absence have been resolved. iii. New coronavirus regulations are now in force. Nocton Hub remains closed to bookings. iv. PPL/PRS is in progress.
v. Television Licence – Nocton Club t/a Ripon Arms has confirmed that this is in place. vi. Removal of streetlight 23 has been completed.
vii. Streetlight 12 not working and has been repaired. Streetlights 3 and 6 not working, reported to LCC, have been repaired. viii. Nocton Beck has been attended to by NKDC, water flow is deemed adequate but remains choked with weeds. DCllr Byatt aware.
ix. Annual audit has been concluded with no issues (some information could not be provided due to absence of Clerk).
2. CORRESPONDENCE:
i. Request received for access to Nocton Hall grounds – situation explained and referred to owner.
ii. Several requests received to park at Nocton Hub – explained the PC cannot give permission and the car park may be in use for an event.
3. TRAINING:
LALC will be holding Social Media Training in due course and it is recommended that all Cllrs and relevant staff attend this, as it is a key area for CoC complaints and sanctions.
